The Treehouse
When my mom was a kid she built a treehouse with her brother and sister. The treehouse was made of boards and nails. It was in a forest near the train tracks beside her house on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. She said I could play in it next time we went up to New Hampshire for summer vacation. I was very happy. A few months later, summer vacation finally came. We went up to my grandparents’ house. I went into the woods to go see the treehouse, but when I finally got there and it had fallen down. I was sad, but my mom said we could build a new one next time. I was very happy. I got started on my plans. My treehouse will have a zip line going to the lake. It will have a triangle roof. It will have two beds and two windows. It will have cabinets for storing food, a bookshelf, a couch, a rug, a refrigerator, a TV, and a rope ladder. It will have a door you can open with a key. It will have a chimney and a fireplace. Summer vacation is coming up soon. I can’t wait to get started.
